WARM UP 2: 12 PRINCIPLES OF DESGIN AD-93
POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE
Brief:
For this warm up project, adobe photoshop and adobe express will be the main tools used. We are to select one final image that we want to use in our postcards. This image will be edited in Adobe Photoshop. The aim is to streamline and simplify the image using filters. Also add textures to achieve a vintage look. Utilizing Photoshop's new AI tools to transform our image by removing backgrounds and generating new ones. Then take our image into adobe express and add our type. Keeping in mind the 12 principals of design we want to focus on whichever ones we think will be best used. The dimensions will be 9 x 9 square because they will be instagram post cards!
Brainstorming:
For my postcard I ended up selecting a picture I took of my room since it somewhere I am most familiar with and find comforting. I tried to capture an image of my couch and my desk so people who see this image with no context will know its a room. For photoshop I have multiple things in my room I can change to make each postcard a little different.

Reflection:
This project was a lot of fun. Trying out photoshops new generative fill was a treat. It is also a little scary how accurate AI can be, In each of the images I changed little pieces using this tool and if you never knew what the original image was you would think these are all the same. For the first two postcards I used the filters to give it a vintage feel but for the last I did not because I felt like it did not go with the vibe I was trying to give. The first two I wanted a comforting feeling and the last I wanted a retro luxury feeling hence the neon blue. I wanted to focus on space, balance and unity. The final image I also ended up flipping the photo so the text could pop out more since unlike the first two it is not see through text. I would most definitely want to do similar projects to this one because photoshop is a very powerful and enjoyable tool to use
